Jake Harris Gets Caught on 'Deadliest Catch'

Jake Harris, 24, the son of Phil Harris was a deckhand on the Discovery Channel's reality TV series. His father was the skipper of the crab fishing vessel Cornelia Marie. The father died February 9 after suffering a stroke.Jake Harris is presently making waves on the net after being arrested by Washington State troopers. Police say the reality TV co-star was taken into custody on suspicion of driving drunk.

Earlier in the evening, a car matching the description of Harris' vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident. A State Patrol airplane directed troopers to the car's location. There was another report of a car driving erratically that also matched the same description of Harris' vehicle.

Jake Harris Fails Field Sobriety Test
Toopers stopped the BMW 3 Series and detected an odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. Harris failed a field sobriety test and refused a Breathalyzer test. He was also driving without a valid driver's license.
Harris was arrested and booked into King County Jail. He remained there overnight and appeared before a hearing on Friday. Judge Aaron Rocke found probable cause for the charges and set bail at $1,500.

Meanwhile, we all know that tonight's episode is just the start of a rocky and painful road for Capt. Phil, who died earlier this year. Next week, the Deadliest Catch will feature Capt. Phil as he suffers a stroke.
